When you create an account, we collect information through our authentication provider, Clerk. This may include:

  • Email address
  • Profile picture (from your Google account, if you use social login)

You may sign up using Google or email and password.

Event and RSVP Data

When you interact with events on our platform, we collect:

  • RSVP status (attending, waitlisted, not attending)
  • Check-in status at events
  • Event attendance history

Guest RSVP Data

If you RSVP to an event without an account, we collect your first name, last name, and phone number. Guest phone numbers are only visible to event organizers with check-in permissions.

Device and Usage Data

We may collect:

  • Push notification tokens (if you enable notifications on the mobile app)
  • Notification preferences
  • Browser type, device type, and general usage analytics via Google Analytics (GA4)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service, including event listings and RSVP functionality
  • Send event reminders and notifications you have opted into
  • Allow event organizers to manage attendance and check-ins
  • Generate anonymized attendance analytics for event organizers
  • Communicate with you about your account or events you have RSVPed to
  • Improve and optimize the Service

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:

  • Event Organizers: Your name, RSVP status, and attendance status are visible to organizers of events you RSVP to. Guest phone numbers are only visible to organizers with check-in permissions.
  • Other Attendees: Your name and profile picture may be visible to other attendees on event pages.
  • Service Providers: We use third-party services to operate the platform:
    • Clerk – authentication and user management
    • Google Analytics – website usage analytics
    • Expo – push notifications for the mobile app
    • Vercel – website hosting
    • Render – backend hosting
    • Hygraph – content management for blog and website content

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use the following cookies and tracking technologies:

  • Session Cookie: A Clerk session cookie (__session) is used to keep you logged in.
  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our website. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymized usage data. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. RSVP records are soft-deleted (marked as cancelled) rather than permanently removed, to maintain event attendance history for organizers. If you wish to have your data permanently deleted, please contact us.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. Authentication is handled by Clerk, which provides industry-standard security practices including encrypted data transmission and secure token management. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

You may:

  • Update your profile information through the app
  • Manage your notification preferences
  • Cancel your RSVPs at any time
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
